I am involved in photography since the age of 14 with my Dad’s Chinese TLR (still functioning perfectly today). Since then, I have photographed memorable moments in my daily life and captured eye-catching and unique images through my own perception.
From the early days of developers and fixers in the darkroom, to the state-of-the-art digital photo processing tool; from the zone system of 4x5 view camera, to the huge ISO of today’s data back, I believe the most important aspect of photography lies in the way of seeing of the photographer.
Store Windows
In shopping arcades, colourful decorations and advertisements, still images of idols, varieties of commodities, and manikins with four seasons dress up attract the attentions of every consumer.
Under the reflection of glass and mirrors in the store windows, all these colourful elements mix together. The visual effect is fantastic and the images form a kind of ambiguity.
It recalls me the movie “Toys Story”. Do these images have real life and they exist in a situation disconnected from our reality world? Can it be more than one reality? Can I connect these two reality worlds with my photographs?
